The world seems out of balance
I always check my blogrolling links to see who has updated their site and there is ALWAYS a little "NEW" sign next to the The Education Wonks. For the first time I can remember they had no new post for this morning. Perhaps EdWonk is suffering from the summer do-nothings like I am, or is it something else?

I noticed that too. Maybe he's on vacation or something.
Clearly, he's smarter than we are in any case. Aren't all you folks in Texas supposed to be out lassoing cattle or something? Aren't we New Yorkers supposed to be out being nasty to our neighbors?
It's enough to give stereotypes a bad name.
I'm not a real Texas so I can't lay claim to lassoing cattle. I'm from New Orleans, so I guess I should be sucking down some booze. Or is it now floating on a makeshift raft, or looting?

Yeah, it freaked me out, too.
